Lakehead Travels to Toronto to Open OUA Play

The Lakehead Thunderwolves will take their show on the road again this weekend as they will be delivered to downtown Toronto by Porter Airlines to take on the University of Toronto Blues and Ryerson Rams on Friday and Saturday nights respectively.
Lakehead finished 4-4 in the pre-season which included 6 road games against tough competition.

Statistical leaders for the preseason schedule were as follows:
PPG: Ven Russell 14.0
RPG: Yoosrie Salhie 7.0
APG: Greg Carter 3.0
Steals: Carter 16
FG% : Brendan King 59% (19-32)
FT%: Jamie Searle 80% (8-10)
3pt%: Greg Carter 50% (8-16)

Coach Morrison on the beginning of the season:
"We have been pleased with our progress since the completion of the Maritime tour in early October. That being said it is hard to measure the true results without matching up against a conference opponent. We have to wait no longer for this opportunity as we will be challenged by two very strong opponents in Toronto and Ryerson. At the end of the day, OUA play is the reason we put in the hours of training camp, challenge ourselves in the pre-season and watch that film and lift those weights. We are excited to get going and working at focusing on one opponent and one quarter at a time."

Both weekend games will be webcast online at www.ssncanada.ca/games
